Image appears in Ad Lib, 1965 with caption, "More than cost factor considered when buying disposables." Caption, "A peg-board display of a cross section of disposables used in Yale-New Haven Hospital. These counterparts of multiple use items are discarded after one or a few uses. They are recommended for hospital purchase by the Equipment Committee if they prove to be less expensive in money or time or an additional protector of patient safety and comfort. Included in this pictured sampling are an oxygen catheter, paper mask, urinary drainage bag and tubing, stopcock, airway, alcohol wipe, various syringes, intravenous set and other items designed to be discarded after one or a few uses.
