The average cost per patient was $5.20 per week. The United States Government and the Hospital contract was renewed, for the support and treatment for military personal was $1.00 per day. Building committee contacted, F.C. Eithers Esq from New York City, to survey the hospital and develop a building plan. Once the expansion plan was approved, the committee hired Nelson Hotchkiss Esq to supervise the construction. The Messrs. Perkins, Chatfield Company was awarded the masonry for the expansion, and the wood work to Mr. A.N. Clark.
