There were 39,113 inpatients during the fiscal year. The new Health System affiliation with Yale University and Yale School of Medicine created a mutual alignment of medical education, clinical program development and managed care. YNHHS developed a Yale New Haven Health Call Center, formerly known as the YNHH Physician Referral Service and Physician Access Line. YNHH generated a cost service initiative for all YNHHS members, with implementation of enhanced billing and admitting system and centralization of supply purchasing.
