Description

Yale Center for Biomedical and Interventional Technology (CBIT) was founded to catalyze biomedical innovation and improve patient care by connecting expertise around Yale's campus and beyond. Through coursework, workshops, events, funding opportunities, and key partnerships, CBIT has supported over 200 projects and helped diverse stakeholders leverage their expertise for meaningful projects. Notably, CBIT drives two courses and supports a third in collaboration with the Yale Center for Engineering Innovation and Design (CEID): MENG/BENG 404, in which students work with clinicians to prototype solutions; MGT/MD 657, Creating New Ventures in Health and Life Sciences, in which management and medical students create business plans for biomedical ventures; and Medical Software Design. Beyond formal coursework, anyone affiliated with Yale can get involved by participating in our upcoming Healthcare Hackathon (Jan 2017) or events like Clinician Pitch Nights
