Abstract
Two-dimensional analytic solutions are derived, as a function of depth and longitudinal distance, for the Eulerian and Lagrangian residual currents induced in narrow tidal channels of constant breadth, depth and rectangular cross-section by the nonlinear interactions of the first order tides.
