Abstract
All available navifacial data from 1956 to 1974 have been compiled to produce two charts per year of surface salinity between 150°E and 130°W and between 10°N and 25°S. On each chart, the following m ain features are observed: south of 10°S and east of 160°W the tropical salinity maximum extending westward south of the equator; and a salinity minimum from 5°S to 20°S and west of 170°W.
