Abstract
The dredge-sieve is a diver-operated device for sampling macrofauna of the marine benthos. Although it was constructed to sample infauna, it is effective in procuring softbottom epifauna as well. It is an adaptation of the "gold sucker" (made commercially for SCUBA divers), which sucks up bottom material through a large L-shaped tube.
