Description

This spiritual was included in the 1928 edition of "Thirty-six South Carolina Spirituals" by Carl Diton, on page 23, item 11. It was transcribed based on the oral tradition of St. Helena Island in present day Beaufort County, South Carolina. The transcription is credited to Diton.
