Image appears in the New Haven Register, January 17, 1954. Caption, "A 'tissue lyophilizer' made in Hamden was presented yesterday to the Yale School of Medicine. Photo shows, left to right, Pasquale Ruggiero, who made it; Dr. Vernon Lippard, dean of the medical school; Dr. William W.L. Glenn, associate professor of surgery; Isidore Himmel, vice president and treasurer of Himmel Brothers, the firm which constructed and donated the machine; Dr. Thomas Gentsch, surgical intern at New Haven Hospital; and Fred Himmel, president and treasurer of Himmel Brothers."
