Description

1962 annual report caption: A new instrument for measuring small amounts of calcium, magnesium, lead, copper, zinc, iron, and other elements found in body fluids (the interplay of which medicine calls metabolism) is the unique atomic absorption spectrometer. The spectrometer provides an amazingly quick and effective way of measuring trace metals in body fluids, particularly those that are difficult or sometimes impossible to measure accurately by other methods. It is one of many modern instruments in the laboratory which are used for clinical analyses.
