Caption with the photo: The anti-blackout suit worn by Navy and Marine jet pilots is examined by Dr. John F. Fulton (left) of the Yale School of Medicine, for the series of lectures on Aviation Medicine that he is delivering at Yale this month. Wearing the suit is Fred D. Moller, of Berger Brothers Company, the New Haven firm that manufactures the suits for the U.S. Navy. Dr. Fulton and his associates at Yale pioneered in the scientific research during the early years of World War II that led to the development of such safety suits for pilots.
