Appears in annual report pamphlet 1965. Caption: New techniques in analyzing body chemicals and recording the end result have been perfected in the clinical laboratory. The most recent of many such time-saving methods is the Data Acquisition System, an electronic machine which collects data and sample identification from the laboratory's numerous instruments. This device automatically records the end result promptly and accurately at the conclusion of a chemical analysis, saving the technician the time required to copy the answer manually. The equipment provides a prompt tabulation of results and is adaptable to planned future utilization of data on a computer basis. Believed to be Dr. Peter Jatlow.
