Comments

There were 35,149 patients discharged during the fiscal year. During the year, the Hospital as well as the entire country faced a nursing shortage. The nursing shortage was in part caused by a smaller population of 18-25 year olds, resulting in a lower admissions in nursing school. The Hospital began an aggressive nurse recruitment and retention program developed by Nursing staff and human resources. The aggressive nurse recruitment resulted in a lower turnover and vacancies for nurse position were fewer. There were several other accomplishments over the fiscal year including; new patient care medical services, department renovations, and new leadership appointments.
