Author Biography

William Flynn has published the monograph Medieval Music as Medieval Exegesis (Lanham MD and London: Scarecrow Press, 1999), as well as chapters in recent publications including The Cult of St. Ursula and the 11,000 Virgins, ed. J. Cartwright (Cardiff: University of Wales Press, 2016), Understanding Medieval Liturgy: Essays in Interpretation, ed. H. Gittos and S. Hamilton (Farnham, Surrey: Ashgate, 2015), and Rethinking Abelard: A Collection of Critical Essays, ed. B. S. Hellemans (Leuven: Brill, 2014). Dr. Flynn teaches medieval Latin at the University of Leeds.
