A surface survey using underway continuous mapping of temperature, chlorophyll, zooplankton (>153 µm) wet weight density, and activity of the zooplankton digestive enzyme laminarinase was undertaken for a 20-day period during active upwelling in the California coastal region between Pt. Arena and Pt. Conception, California, U.S.A., during July, 1979....
