Abstract
This book review examines Museum Archives: Practice, Issues, Advocacy edited by Rachel Chatalbash, Susan Hernandez, and Megan Schwenke and published by the Society of American Archivists (SAA) in 2022. This volume is the first holistic work concerning museum archives since the publication of the second edition of Museum Archives: An Introduction in 2004, also by SAA. Museum Archives: Practice, Issues, Advocacy is a welcome addition to the body of professional literature on museum archives. This review provides a comprehensive examination of the book, giving the reader an introduction to its three parts, while also critiquing the book's effectiveness in presenting its three themes of practice, issues, and advocacy within the field of museum archives.
