The average cost for patients was; $21.00 per week, a private room $56.00-$98.00 and a semi-private room was $35.00 per week. In-town residents paid a discounted rate of $17.50 or $21.00 if they were admitted to the Contagious Hospital. The William Wirt Winchester Memorial Hospital was renovated after Governments lease expired. The Farnam Operating Room was demolished, for the University to build new laboratories. The hospital celebrated the centennial. The last nursing class of the Connecticut Training School for Nurses graduated.
