2057 patients treated in the past year. Daily average number of patients 173. Cost per patient per week is $11.945. The ambulance responded to 701 calls during the year. There was a donation from Mr. Frederick F. Brewster for a new ambulance and an ambulance stable, which is almost complete. With two ambulances at New Haven Hospital, the superintendent is hoping that a Police Ambulance will no longer be necessary since it has no medical personnel. There is a need to build a wing specifically for tuberculosis patients. More space is needed for patients. Some employee salaries had to be increased, it is hard to obtain employees. The hospital has been undergoing repairs. There’s a need for an elevator. The contract between the Hospital and the Connecticut Training School for Nurses has been modified. A detailed description of the Connecticut Training School for Nurses as well as an application are included.
