Comments
There were 12,670 patients treated during this fiscal year. The amount of patient’s days has continued to increase, while the dispensary visits have decreased. Since patients have been staying longer, there have been some overcrowding issues with beds. The hospital celebrated National Hospital Day on May 12, and received the award for Merit from the American Hospital Association. The Obstetric Department has become more prevalent with patients giving birth in hospitals and not at home. The New Haven Hospital joined Red Cross’s disaster program.
