This report includes patient hospital stories, the 2005 year end message, lists of Officers of the Yale-New Haven, Board of Trustees, Senior Management, Administration, Medical Staff, and the auxiliary. Medical statistics include medical and surgical cases from October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005, lists of operations, admissions, discharges and number of births and financial statistic reported. The 2005 report concludes with a listing of donors.

There were 48,594 patients discharged during the fiscal year. YNHH Intensive Care Unit leaders formed a leadership group to improve the coordination, communication and quality of care for the Systems ICU departments. The New Clinical Program Development Fund invested in liver transplantation, thoracic oncology, pediatric cardiology, the endovascular center and the brain tumor center this year. A new Cancer Center was proposed in 2004 and was approved in September.
