The Executive Committee hired a committee to survey the operations of the Hospital, initially only a couple of departments were given an increase in wages. However, as time went on the Committee agreed to give all employees a raise in wages beginning in June. A new nursing salary scale was established in hopes of maintaining a sufficient nursing staff of graduate nurses. The Dispensary has continued to have financial loss, but most of the cost has been met through contributions from endowment funds. State cases costs have been increased from $4.00 per week to $8.00 per week. The average cost for patients was $46.75 per week and private pavilion was $62.32 per week. There were 17,646 patients treated during this fiscal year.
