There were 35,264 patients discharged during the fiscal year. The demands of modern science unveiled that the Memorial Unit needs to be updated with converting patient rooms into semi-private patient rooms. The facilities renewal project will be in two phases, the new building will house the patient beds taken from the Memorial Unit, consolidate Maternity and Pediatric services, and have a Pediatric Emergency Room.
