Description

"State Hospital" Reproduced from Sketches of Yale College by a member of that institution, 1843. This building was designed by Ithiel Town and was erected on a plot of land seven and a half acres in size. Money had been raised by legislative appropriation and private gifts, and the Hospital was opened for patient in 1833. The building was in constant use until 1930 when it was razed to make way for the new Clinic Building.
