Description
Caption on back of photo: South Pavilion (New Facility), When the seven-story "New Facility" opened in 1982, it was so modern and state-of-the-art that the name stuck for more than 15 years. It was the first new major patient care building addition since the Memorial Unit had opened almost 30 years earlier. Even today, now undergoing a complete renovation, the South Pavilion houses the majority of patient care services at Yale-New Haven Hospital, including its most intensive care and high-tech units.
