Abstract

A systematic review of fossil crocodilian holotypes in the Yale Peabody Museum provides a basis for taxonomic reinterpretation of the specimens. Several species are rejected as having been erected upon indeterminate material or as being junior synonyms of existing taxa. For valid taxa, new descriptions, designations, and/or diagnoses supplement the originals when necessary. Several fossils have received clarification of their provenance data.
