Abstract
The problem of the dynamic stability of atmospheric currents has been investigated by many authors during the past 20 years. The present paper deals with certain aspects of this problem which was first treated by Solberg [1], Høiland [2], and Kleinschmidt [3], and more recently by Van Mieghem [4], and Fjørtoft [5].
